Classroom Notes is an educational note-taking platform designed for students and teachers to:
- Create and organize class notes
- Maintain private encrypted notebooks
- Collaborate within assigned classes
- Share notes and receive teacher feedback
- Export notes in various formats
The Service is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) European servers and complies with GDPR and European data protection regulations.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
3.2 Age Requirements
Users under 16 years old must have parental or school consent to create an account and use the Service.
3.3 Account Types
- Students: Can create notes, join classes, and manage private notebooks
- Teachers: Can create classes, invite students, and view class notes
- Administrators: Have full system access for management purposes
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use the Service to:

- ❌ Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity

5. Content Ownership and Rights

You retain full ownership of all notes, content, and materials you create in Classroom Notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store your content on our servers
- Display your content to authorized users (teachers in your classes)
- Backup and maintain your content
- Process your content to provide the Service
5.2 Private Notes
Your private notebook is end-to-end encrypted. We cannot access, read, or share your private notes. Only you can decrypt and view this content.
5.3 Class Notes
Class notes are visible to:
- You (the creator)
- Teachers assigned to your class
- Service administrators (for support purposes only)
5.4 Shared Content
When you share notes via public links, you grant anyone with the link permission to view that specific content.
6. Educational Use
Classroom Notes is designed for educational purposes. By using the Service as a student, you acknowledge that:
- Your class notes may be viewed by your teachers
- Teachers may provide feedback and comments on your work
- Your school or educational institution may have additional policies regarding note-taking tools
- Academic integrity policies apply to all content you create
7. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Service Availability

9. Data Backup and Loss
While we implement backup systems:
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content
- We are not liable for data loss due to technical failures, user error, or security breaches
- Export your notes regularly using the export feature
10. Account Termination
10.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time through the profile settings. Upon deletion:
- All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- You will no longer have access to your notes
- This action cannot be undone
10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms and Conditions
- Engage in abusive or harmful behavior
- Use the Service illegally
- Are inactive for an extended period (we'll notify you first)
11. Intellectual Property
The Classroom Notes application, including its design, code, logos, and features, is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
- Remove copyright notices or branding
- Use our name or logo without permission
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or completeness
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Data loss or corruption
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits or opportunities
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months (currently free).
